OUR PROJECTS

Sewing Schools In Africa

It started as a very humble project. One person took it upon herself to move from Germany to Paraguay, to teach mainly indigenous women how to sew. These women were often mothers that had no access to jobs. Sewing gave them to opportunity to mend cloths themselves, but also to make a bit of much-needed money on the side for their families.

Over the years, classes became bigger, former students became teachers, alumni started their own sewing business, and the demand from rural areas became louder and louder. Now, even in neighbouring countries they are looking to set up similar initiatives with the help of our team in Paraguay.

The transformation of these women and their families is amazing to watch.

Schools & Meals For Kids In Africa

After successfully supporting a project in Egypt, that was looking after street children, we are now also extending this to Senegal. The situation is similar. The kids are either orphans, have been expelled from their homes after their mothers remarried, or come from impoverished families. They are often physically or sexually abused, get forced into marriage, or to steal. Access to education, or at least one meal per day, is not in their cards.

Together with our local partner, a school is currently already helping 230 of these kids, to learn something that can change  their future. We hope to expand this soon, as the demand is enormous.

TechEd To Kids In India

Despite being a shooting star and an increasingly wealthy nation, India still has high amounts of children with no or little education. Together with the iTinker foundation, we are providing technical education (TechEd) to children all over the country. They learn skills that will prepare them well for the future labour market internationally. This way, they will be able to provide for themselves and their entire families, breaking centuries of poverty.

As an extremely encouraging side-effect, TechEd also nourishes their creativity, and some teams have already started to turn ideas into services for people around them. Several international companies have recently joined these efforts, to build a fantastic curriculum, incl. autonomous driving, robotics, 3D printing and much more.

Other Projects

Over the years, we have supported many projects around the world. We supported projects for HIV positive women, helped war refugees, help with hygiene and disease prevention classes, and victims of natural disasters - just to name a few. We are grateful for the support we get from many individuals, as well as companies of all sizes. From startups like MegaZebra, scale-ups like Babbel, and heavyweights like DHL.

If you have idea for projects, want to learn more about them, or perhaps even join one, please reach out to us at any time. We are looking forward to it.
